3年間のBlogにも登場して貰ってる元TCBのヨシエちゃん。
3年前に引退してから5年は経ったかな?と記してるので単純計算で8年は経過してるんだと思いますが…
今回
『何歳になったの?』
って聞くと
『80代になった』
って
3年前のBlogでも
『80代になった』
って答えてる。
3年後にもフラッと元気にスタスタTCBの階段を登って
『80代になったよ』
と言いに来て欲しい。
70歳になってから40肩になったという一発ギャグを私に披露してくれてたヨシエちゃん
当時からお客さんが来られると勝手にお喋りを始めて、
『この襟のアイロンは私がした!』 『このジーンズの方が似合う!』
とか説明を始める事が思春期時の母親が自分の部屋に入ってきたみたいで嫌だったんだけど、今思えば作り手が直接説明するって素晴らしいよねという今のTCBの考えのヒントを貰ったのはヨシエちゃんからかも知れません。
Yoshie-chan, who used to work at TCB, has been appearing on our blog for the past three years.
In a post from three years ago, I wrote that it had already been about five years since she retired—so simply put, it must have been around eight years now.
This time, I asked her,
“How old are you now?”
And she said,
“I’m in my 80s now.”
But three years ago on the blog,
she said the exact same thing:
“I’m in my 80s now.”
Three years from now,
I hope she casually shows up again,
walks up the TCB stairs like she always does,
and says,
“I’m in my 80s now.”
Back when she turned 70,
she told me this joke—
“I got frozen shoulder at 70, so I guess it’s ‘40 shoulder’ now.”
That was Yoshie-chan.
Even back then, whenever customers came in,
she would start talking on her own—
“This collar? I ironed that!”
“These jeans would suit you better!”
To be honest, at the time it felt a bit like
my mom barging into my room during my teenage years,
and I didn’t really like it.
But now that I think about it,
there’s something truly special about the maker
speaking directly to the customer.
Maybe the idea that TCB values today—
that connection—
came from Yoshie-chan.
