本日補充が完了して販売中のCatface Pullover Shirt
VintageのARMYのプルオーバーは以前から実は所有していて、 TCBでも一度サンプルまで作っていました。
確か4〜5年前くらいの話だったかな？ と思って昔の写真を見返したら、 まさかの10年前でした。笑
これは自分自身にも、 皆さんにも伝えたい事だけど、
やってみたい事。
行ってみたい場所。
逢いたい人。
欲しい物。
もちろん無理は良くない。
でも、 ずっと心の片隅に置いたままなら、 少しでも早く動いた方が良い気がする。
30代から40代にかけての10年だから、 なんとか回収できた憧れ。
でも、 40代から50代の “いつかやろう” には、 同じ保証なんて無いのかもしれない。
映画 『最高の人生の見つけ方』 で出てきた 棺桶リスト“Bucket List” みたいで少し大袈裟だけど、 作りたい物は作る。
それは服作りというより、 自分の中に残った憧れを、 一つずつ回収していく作業なんだと思う。
一度は、
「もう憧れは回収し切ったかな」
なんて思っていたけど、まだ自分の中にはチェックを付けたいWish Listが残ってるみたいです。
The Cat Face Pullover Shirt has finally been restocked and is now available again.
I’ve actually owned a vintage US ARMY pullover for quite a long time,
and at one point, we even made a sample version at TCB.
I thought it was maybe 4 or 5 years ago.
But when I looked back through old photos,
it turned out to be 10 years ago. Haha.
This is something I want to tell myself,
and maybe all of you too.
Things you want to do.
Places you want to go.
People you want to meet.
Things you want to own.
Of course, pushing yourself too hard isn’t always good.
But if something has been sitting quietly in the corner of your heart for years,
maybe it’s better to move on it sooner rather than later.
I was somehow able to “recover” this dream
because it existed within the 10 years between my 30s and 40s.
But I’m not sure the same guarantee exists
for all the “someday” plans
between your 40s and 50s.
It sounds a little dramatic,
like the “Bucket List” from The Bucket List,
but I still believe:
If there’s something you want to make, make it.
More than clothing production,
it feels like the process of reclaiming
the things I once admired.
At one point,
I thought I had already checked off all my dreams.
But apparently,
there are still a few things left
on my Wish List.
