先日発表した、WORKERSに別注したLounge Jacket。
打ち合わせの当初は、せっかくのコラボなので、WORKERSのネームタグの隣にTCBのラベルも並べて縫ってもらおうと思っていました。
しかし、舘野さんといろいろ相談した末に決めたTCBネームの位置は、左胸。
WORKERSが大切に作り続けてきたLounge Jacketに、今回はT/C素材を採用してもらいました。
テーラードジャケットを少しドレスダウンし、カバーオールとの間に位置するようなジャケットにしたい。
そんな思いがあったので、ネームもあえてカバーオールを思わせる左胸の位置に付けています。
もちろん赤ネームも考えましたが、このジャケットが持つシックな雰囲気は残したかったので、今回はモノトーン仕様に仕上げました。
そして本日、出来上がったジャケットをフィッティング。
「せっかくT/Cの生地を使っているんだから、あえて一度洗ってから着てもいいよね」
と舘野さん。
そう言われると、洗った後の表情も見てみたくなります。
先日も舘野さんから、ちょっと良さそうな和食屋さんの食べログのURLと一緒に、
「ここ、一緒に食べに行こうよ！」
とメッセージが届いていました。
その時は、このLounge Jacketを着て行こうと思います。

WORKERS × TCB Lounge Jacketを、よろしくお願いします。
The Lounge Jacket we recently unveiled—a special-order collaboration with WORKERS.
When our discussions first began, I thought that, since this was a collaboration, we should have the TCB label sewn next to the WORKERS brand label.
However, after discussing it at length with Tateno-san, we ultimately decided to place the TCB label on the left chest.
For our version of the Lounge Jacket—a style that WORKERS has carefully developed over the years—we asked them to use a T/C fabric.
Our aim was to dress the tailored jacket down slightly and create something that sits somewhere between a tailored jacket and a chore coat.
That is also why we deliberately placed the label on the left chest, in a position reminiscent of a chore coat.
Of course, we could have used a red label, but we wanted to preserve the jacket’s understated sophistication, so we chose a monochrome design instead.
Today, we finally tried on the finished jacket.
“Since we’ve used a T/C fabric, it might be nice to give it a wash before wearing it,” Tateno-san said.
Now I’m curious to see how it will look after that first wash.
The other day, Tateno-san sent me a Tabelog link to a nice-looking Japanese restaurant, along with a message:
“Let’s go there together!”
When we do, I plan to wear this Lounge Jacket.
I guess even I can look the part in the right clothes.
