写真はシルエットリニューアル前の S40’s Jacket ですが、
生地は現在のモデルと同じになりますので、
色落ちの雰囲気の参考になればと思います。
TCBの生地の中でも特に濃色で、
強撚糸を使用している為、
最初はかなりゴワつきがあります。
その分、
色落ちは“面”ではなく“点”から始まる様な感覚で、
ヒゲの刻まれ方や、
縦落ちのコントラストも非常に強く出る生地です。
個人的には、
TCBのラインナップの中でも、
最もメリハリのある表情へ育っていく生地かなと思っています。
気候的には、
そろそろデニムジャケットのオフシーズンに入ったのかもしれません。
でもTCBの工場では、
季節に関係なく、
365日ずっと上下デニムを作り続けています。
真夏に縫っているジャケットも、
誰かが秋に着始めて、
冬を越えて、
数年後にはその人だけの色落ちになっていく。
そう思うと、
工場の中では季節感が少し曖昧になります。
この度、
New S40’s Jacket の補充が完了しました。
今すぐ袖を通す為にも。
秋に向けて少し早めに育て始める為にも。
是非このタイミングで。

but the fabric itself remains the same as the current model,
so I hope these images can serve as a good reference for how the denim fades over time.
Among all TCB fabrics,
this is one of the darkest shades we produce,
and because we use hard-twisted yarns,
the fabric starts out extremely rigid and rough.
Because of that,
the fading doesn’t begin as broad flat wear,
but almost like tiny “dots” appearing first.
The whiskers carve in deeply,
and the vertical fading contrast becomes incredibly pronounced.
Personally,
I think this fabric develops into one of the most dramatic and high-contrast fades in the entire TCB lineup.
Seasonally,
it may already be the off-season for denim jackets.
But inside the TCB factory,
we continue making denim jackets and jeans
365 days a year,
regardless of the season.
Even the jackets being sewn in the middle of summer
will eventually be worn by someone in autumn,
aged through winter,
and years later,
become a completely personal fade unique to that wearer.
When I think about that,
the sense of seasons inside the factory becomes a little blurred.
This time,
the New S40’s Jacket has finally been restocked.
Whether you want to start wearing it right away,
or begin breaking it in early for autumn ahead,
this is the perfect timing.
