5度目の夏を迎えようとしている、桐山さんの Painter Shorts。
このデニムの色落ちは、コントラストの強いヒゲが入るというより、全体的に色が抜けていく中で、ステッチまわりのパッカリングがきれいに浮かび上がってくるところに魅力があると思います。
さすがに車の整備をする時には着用していないそうですが、3匹の相棒たちと遊ぶ時には大活躍しているようで、作り手としても嬉しい限りです。

The fading on this denim isn’t really about high-contrast whiskers. Instead, I think the charm lies in the way the color fades overall, while the puckering around the stitching slowly starts to stand out beautifully.
Apparently he doesn’t wear them when working on cars, as expected, but I’m really happy to hear that they’ve been getting plenty of use when he’s out playing with his three loyal companions.
