TCBのフラッグシップモデルは？
と聞かれたら、迷わず答えるのが「50’s Jeans」。
そういえば、 今から14年前のこの時期に、TCBが最初に作った一本でもあります。
生地は厚いのか、薄いのか。
色は濃いのか、淡いのか。
シルエットは太いのか、細いのか。
その全部の“基準”になるのが、この50’s。
それはTCBの中だけの話じゃなくて、 世界中のジーンズに対して言っても大袈裟じゃないと思っています。
ゴールデンエイジに生まれた、完成された一本。
そして今回、久しぶりにその50’s Jeansの再生産分が仕上がりました。
ふと思い立って、キュンに 50’sのVintageジャケットと合わせてもらったら、 色落ちの空気感が驚くほど似ていて、少し安心しました。
Vintageと並べても違和感がない。
そう胸を張って言える色落ちです。
When people ask,
“What’s the flagship model of TCB?”
I always answer without hesitation: the 50’s Jeans.
Come to think of it,
this was also the very first pair we made at TCB, about 14 years ago around this time.
Is the fabric thick or thin?
Is the color deep or light?
Is the silhouette wide or slim?
The 50’s serves as the benchmark for all of these.
And I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that—
not just within TCB, but across all jeans in the world.
A completed piece, born in the golden age.
And this time, after a while,
a new production run of the 50’s Jeans has finally been completed.
On a whim, I asked Kyun to style them
with a vintage 50’s denim jacket.
Seeing them together, I felt a sense of relief—
the fading and overall atmosphere matched surprisingly well.
Even when placed next to vintage, there’s no sense of discomfort.
That’s something we can say with confidence about this pair.
