タビーズ、Tabbys Coatって「旅のコートですか？」って聞かれる事があります。
せっかくなので少しだけ背景を。
元ネタになったのは、左胸に付く特徴的なポケット。
これはStrong Holdの“ストップロスポケット”を参考にしています。
そのストップロスポケットが付いた服には、可愛いスティーブおじさんのイラスト。
このおじさんがなんとも言えず良くて、TCBではそのキャラクターをアレンジして、トラ猫の“トラちゃん”にリミックスしました。
“Tabby”はトラ猫の意味。
そこから生まれたのが、Tabbys Coatです。
なので、名前の意味としては「旅のコート」という訳ではないのですが——
ポケットの数、程よい丈感、扱いやすい生地の厚さ。
結果的に、旅に連れて行くにはちょうど良い一着になっていると思います。

“Does Tabbys Coat mean a coat for traveling?”
So I’d like to share a bit of the background.
The inspiration came from the distinctive pocket on the left chest.
It’s based on the “Stop-Loss Pocket” from Strong Hold.
Garments with that pocket originally featured an illustration of a charming character known as Steve.
We really liked that character, so at TCB, we reinterpreted him and remixed him into our own tiger cat character, “Tora-chan.”
“Tabby” means a tiger-striped cat.
And that’s how the name Tabbys Coat was born.
So, strictly speaking, the name doesn’t mean “a coat for traveling”—
But with its number of pockets, balanced length, and easy-to-wear fabric weight,
it naturally turns out to be a perfect piece to take along on a trip.
