いつもYouTubeで観るたびに、
「すごい色落ちだな」
と思っていた、お笑い芸人プリンプリン田中さんのLate S40’s。
最近、ひと区切りつくところまで着込み・穿き込みを終えられたようだったので、お願いしてTCBまで送っていただきました。
届いた実物を見てみると、これが本当にメチャクチャ格好良い。
写真で何度も見ていたはずなのに、実物を目の前にすると、生地の表情や色の濃淡、身体の動きによって刻まれたシワまで、やはり迫力がまったく違います。
せっかくなので田中さんに許可をいただき、今回は山縣君に着用してもらって撮影しました。
私自身、毎日のようにジーンズを見ています。
それでも、何年経っても良い色落ちのデニムを見るとワクワクするし、また同じ生地のジーンズを新品から穿きたくなります。
これこそ、色落ちする服の面白さなのかもしれません。
お盆期間中はTCB SHOPにも展示して、実際に皆さんにもご覧いただけるようにしたいと思っています。

Every time I saw comedian Tanaka of Purin Purin wearing his Late S40’s on YouTube, I couldn’t help but think,
“What an incredible fade.”
It recently looked as though he had brought this particular chapter of wearing the set to a close, so I asked if he would send it to TCB.
When it arrived and I finally saw it in person, it looked absolutely amazing.
I had seen it countless times in photos and videos, but nothing compares to seeing it up close—the texture of the fabric, the variations in color, and the creases and wear patterns shaped by the movements of his body all had an entirely different level of impact.
With Tanaka’s permission, we had Yamagata-kun wear the set for this photo shoot.
I look at jeans almost every day, but no matter how many years pass, a beautifully faded piece of denim still excites me. It always makes me want to start wearing a fresh pair of jeans made from the same fabric all over again.
Perhaps that is the real beauty of clothing that continues to change and fade with wear.
We plan to display this set at the TCB SHOP throughout the Obon holiday period, so everyone can see it in person.
