A Season for Reading, a Season for Coveralls
Ryo and I are featured in the November issue of Hail Mary Magazine, released at the end of September.
The weather is getting cooler, and we’re starting to feel like reaching for a coverall jacket. It’s the perfect time for an issue dedicated to them.
Sakuma-san, who made headlines this year with his Guinness World Record, also mentions TCB in the magazine. You’ll find Daisuke-san in its pages too—a key person in a story rooted in Hiroshima that we’ll be sharing with you soon.
Making clothes in Kojima, I sometimes think we’re a little like vegetable growers.
Just as a grower might send out their harvest saying, “We’ve grown some delicious tomatoes!” we send out our work saying, “We’ve made some great jeans!”
Some people might bite straight into a tomato. Others slice it and sprinkle it with salt, or use it in a dish. Something you’ve grown reaches someone else’s hands, and they find their own way to enjoy it. Seeing that makes me happy.
It’s the same with TCB clothes. What to wear them with, and where to wear them, is up to each person.
I get excited when I’m given a glimpse of what happens to our clothes after they leave the factory.
Besides the pleasure of seeing ourselves in the magazine, I enjoyed discovering what people connected to TCB choose to wear, and how they wear it.
That gave me another reason to enjoy this issue.
As you think about what you’d like to wear this autumn, I hope you’ll take a moment to turn its pages.
