Chopper Style

Chopped Coverallに、Chopped Mini。

A few years ago, Kiriyama-san told me something that stuck with me.

“I wanted to move away from the idea that working on cars means wearing coveralls.”

He regularly wears TCB as workwear in his garage.

This time, I had him try our Chopped Coverall—a jacket born, ironically enough, from a pair of coveralls.

The idea is to cut a vintage pair of coveralls around the waist and turn the upper half into a jacket. With the legs gone, it becomes something he can wear with his usual jeans.

Cutting something can open up a new way to enjoy it, while still keeping traces of its original form.

Thinking about that made me want to cut the roof off a classic Mini and drive it as a convertible.

Chopped Coverall meets Chopped Mini.

I might have to ask Kiriyama-san about that next time. Haha.
