Vintageの70505のCordsを、一生懸命研究して決めたTCBのサーモンピンク。

ビーカーで試色してもらい、見比べながら決めた、こだわりの色目です。

ただ、「サーモンピンク」と名乗る以上、こちらとの比較も必要だろうと。

今回も、
シャケ弁当。
ゴロッとサーモン丼。
スモークサーモン。
そして、シャケと呼ばずにサケと呼ぶタイプのオニギリ。

様々なサーモンを集めて、色目を比較してみました。

……全然違います。

試食も試色も真剣に取り組みましたが、
本物のサーモンより、Vintageの色目を優先しております。笑

An Apology Regarding Our Salmon Pink — Taste Tests & Dye Tests 2026

We studied the pink of a vintage 70505 corduroy jacket closely to develop TCB’s salmon pink.

After lab-dip tests and careful comparisons, we finally settled on this particular shade.

But if we’re going to call it “salmon pink,” we thought we should compare it with the real thing, too.

So, once again, we gathered:
A grilled salmon bento.
A chunky salmon rice bowl.
Smoked salmon.
And a rice ball that insists on calling its salmon “sake” rather than “shake.” Two Japanese names for the same fish.

We brought together all these different kinds of salmon and compared their colors with our corduroy.

…They don’t match at all.

We took both the tasting and the dye testing seriously, but in the end, we gave the vintage jacket’s color priority over the actual salmon. Haha.
