今日は、ニュージーランドに住むお孫さんと一緒にご来店くださいました。
こういう瞬間に、写真を撮る意味を感じます。
そして手前味噌ですが、その一枚にデニムが写っていれば、
「あの頃は、まだこんなに色が濃かった」
「あの頃と同じサイズのジャケットが、今も着られている」
そんな思い出まで、色落ちと一緒に刻まれていく。
服なんだけど、アルバムでもある。
それも、デニムの良さのひとつだと思います。

A gentleman who spends the year photographing the cats of Kojima.
Today, he stopped by the shop with his grandson, who lives in New Zealand.
Moments like this remind me why photographs matter.
And this may sound a little self-serving, but if denim happens to be in that photograph, it preserves memories like:
“The denim was still so dark back then.”
“I can still fit into the same size jacket I wore back then.”
Those memories become part of the fading, too.
It may be clothing, but it is also an album.
I think that is one of the beautiful things about denim.
